A lot of thoughts came to me while I was editing this beautiful girl's portraits.
I remember how I loved to help other girls feel confident by doing their make up and hair and putting outfits together for them. My passion about beauty budded very early back to when I was a elemetary schooler. However, because of lack of the support from my family, I pursuited my career toward becoming a scientist and a science writer instead, which luckily brought me to the United States in 2007.
But I never gave up on finding something to do with beauty along the way. I was a master make up artist in the drama club in a school I went to.
Then I fell in love with photography when I had my first baby. "Painting with light" seems to be the perfect way to stop beauty and all the cherishable moment that we create... and capturing this moment means a lot to me.
I also need to thank Meng for baring with my slow work speed on this shoot. I was sick and had very low energy to even lift up my camera, but I knew Meng had been very excited about this senior photoshoot. So was I. And we made it. Turned out its the most relaxing session for me. And I loved it when I didn't need to worry about kids getting tired of the photoshoot😆, I got to get this beautiful girl engaged and to play creativity together that I almost forgot I was sick...
